5 Tips On How Your Perfume Can Last Longer

There are different ways to wear a fragrance. And most of the perfumes last longer, in some cases lasts shorter, when applied. All depends on many factors, like weather temperature, body and skin structure, type of the fragrance, how it is applied and so on. These below are some tips on how to make your perfume last longer:


<1> Perfume last longer when it is layered. Basically, the process of layering could begin even in the bath. During shower, you can use a body lotion, shower gel or shampoo, to achieve lighter and sensitive base smell. Then, while your pores are still open, you could use some fragrance in powder or talc form, to dust your body. After that, you could add the final layer with your favorite perfume or eau de toilette. And all these fragrance layers must be applied directly on your skin before getting dressed.

<2> Perfume last longer when it is NOT rubbed after its application. For example, when you spray the perfume on your wrist, do not rub it in the other wrist. That`s because the liquid perfume oils must be naturally absorbed into your skin. According to the type of the scents, this could take from some seconds to 1-2 minutes.

<3> Perfume last longer when it is NOT applied on dry skin. The reason is in the one of the ingredients of the perfume - the alcohol. On dry skin, alcohol is evaporating faster and the perfume oils, too. If you have dry skin, good practice is to apply small amount of body lotion, before applying the perfume. This will help the perfume scents last longer.

<4> Perfume last longer when it is applied on pulse points. Pulse points are recommended for applying, because these areas produces much more heat, and this helps the fragrance to be better released. Some suitable pulse points are the inner wrists, behind ears and inside of your elbows.

<5> Perfume last longer when applied through an extraordinary ways. Sometimes, you could try few drops of the perfume in your bath tub. Also, you could spray your hairbrush with a favorite fragrance and pass it through your hair. Also, you could spray small amount of your perfume in to the air, and then walk through it.
