After you have achieved a consistent mixture of essential oils and alcohol ingredients - it is time for the last essential step in the process of making your own perfume. The addition of the water is the fourth part of this online course, so check these helpful tips and advices about it.

In the selecting of the water ingredients, keep in mind that even the lightest changes in its amount can change the characteristic of the perfume completely. For this - it is recommended to use a pipette. Also, you need a distilled water, which to be clean and sterile. Moreover, you can use a water from your kitchen, but then it must be distilled and filtered.

The implementation of the process should start when you open the container. Then stir slowly again the blend of essential oils and alcohol. And add enough drops of the water, until the overall liquid reach to 100ml. For lighter homemade perfumes, the water ingredient should be about 20ml-40ml of the liquid. And for the stronger homemade perfumes, the water ingredient should be less than 10ml-20ml of the liquid. After the addition of the water, stir slowly the mixture until the ingredients are completely dispersed. This process should be done in a cool and dry environment with no direct sunlight. Then, close the container tightly and let stand for about 2-3 weeks, again in a dark, dry and cool place.

If you want to make a homemade fragrance in a form of the lightest scent, such as Scented Water, you need to move directly on this step. And you need a bigger amount of water, because the Scented Water consists in 1%-3% of essential oils and 95%-99% of distilled water. In all cases, you have to mix well the ingredients of your own fragrance and need to mature before it reaches perfection.
